On June 8, 2026, The West End Lounge proudly invites the Wilton Manors community to come together for a special evening celebrating one of our community's greatest ambassadors, Florida Storm FC, as they prepare to represent South Florida at the Gay Games XII in Valencia, Spain. For more than 25 years, Florida Storm FC has provided a welcoming and inclusive home for LGBTQ+ athletes and allies. Through teamwork, sportsmanship, and community pride, the club has built a legacy that extends far beyond the soccer field. Now, that legacy is heading to one of the world's largest celebrations of diversity, inclusion, culture, and sport. The Gay Games bring together thousands of participants from around the globe to compete, connect, and celebrate the values of equality and respect. As Florida Storm FC prepares to take the international stage, we believe this moment deserves the support and recognition of the entire community. The June 8 Kickoff Party at The West End Lounge will be an opportunity for friends, supporters, local businesses, and neighbors to rally behind the team before their journey begins. Guests will have the chance to meet players, learn more about the club's history, hear about their upcoming experience in Valencia, and show their support for the athletes representing Wilton Manors and South Florida on a global stage.
